On June 14, as part of the Ukrainian Days (UA Days) in Luxembourg festival, the Ukrainian Fashion Show took place at La Brasserie Schuman with the support of LAFF a.s.b.l., a platform for developing the creative industry in Luxembourg. The Fashion Show featured esteemed Ukrainian designers ElenaReva and Poustovit.
ElenaReva is a luxury fashion label known for its contemporary couture with an artistic twist and collaborations with young artists, supporting the Ukrainian art scene. The designer focuses on high-tech fabrics and exceptional tailoring, celebrating feminine forms combined with art-directed prints. Celebrities such as Sandra Bullock, Tia Mowry, and Laura Vandervoort have been seen wearing ElenaReva’s clothes.
Poustovit, founded by Liliia Poustovit in 1998 and based in Kyiv, embraces the spirit of life, world travels, and sacred elements of Ukrainian national heritage in a reimagined way. The designer incorporates deep-rooted Ukrainian motifs, believing that the country’s rich past empowers and inspires future creations. Liliia Poustovit delicately works with ethical symbols and codes to create brand-new, reimagined pieces.
The event was attended by Frank Wilde, a renowned stylist and costume designer known for his extravagant outfits and elevator selfies showing support for Ukraine. Frank has collaborated with notable figures such as dancer and actress Romy Haag, singer Nena, and actress Heike Makatsch. He has also contributed to Sarah Connor’s music video “From Sarah With Love.” Nadine Robert, a famous Luxembourgish influencer, blogger, and model, also joined the event.
During the event, organizers raised funds for LUkraine’s emergency response mission in the Kherson region following the demolition of a dam in Nova Kakhovka, which caused a massive humanitarian and ecological crisis.
UA Days in Luxembourg is the first festival of Ukrainian culture in Luxembourg, offering various activities to explore and experience its richness while fostering cultural exchange between Ukraine and Luxembourg. The festival includes music, cinema, art, fashion, and photography, showcasing and explaining Ukrainian heritage. LUkraine asbl hosts the festival with support from the Representation of the European Commission in Luxembourg, the Embassy of Ukraine in the Kingdom of Belgium, and the Consulate of Ukraine in Luxembourg.
