At the moment we have a lot of refugees who are arriving in Luxembourg seeking protection and safety. Unfortunately, a large part of the newly arrived people is under a lot of stress or event have some kind of a post-traumatic response. On top of that most of the refugees are not proficient in foreign languages, especially to get psychological help using some of them.
We have an opportunity to solve this issue by having access to Ukrainian psychologists and psychotherapists and the digital platform doctena.lu designed to help doctors to manage their interactions with patients.
In partnership with Doctena
After our round tables with refugees dozen of people contacted us asking for psychological help. Unfortunately, they don’t have any alternatives to this treatment. Main blockers that existing services in Ukraine have issues because of hostilities and don’t have access to the doctors in Europe who is speaking Ukrainian
We are the biggest association of Ukrainians in Luxembourg so it’s our duty and part of our mission as an organization. In this hard time, many people are united around a goal to help as many people as we can who are impacted by this war of aggression or simply genocide of Ukrainians. We are proud that we have highly professional people joining us today and helping to set up processes and projects to stand with Ukraine. So that, we have all the professional resources to organize this kind of treatment.
For the short-term psychotherapy treatment from 3 to 10 sessions are needed. For 600 refugees we will need about 4000 sessions.
