Clean energy for Children in Ukraine
Project overview
Little Sun is a clean energy organization founded in 2012 by artist Olafur Eliasson and engineer Frederik Ottesen with headquarters in Germany.
The organization has helped provide clean power and light to 4.1 million people in Sub-Saharan Africa who would not otherwise have access to it. In addition, Little Sun leads public campaigns using creativity, emotion, and hopeful storytelling to galvanize citizen around renewable energy and climate action.

Fundraising
With a great support of Little Sun, LUkraine asbl is launching a fundraising campaign in order to purchase and deliver solar lamps designed for kids and which can be used in any time due to solar energy charge.
Solar energy enables children to study at night, in the shelter or at the time of a blackout due to electricity shortage. LUkraine asbl is a registered non-profit organization (F 9931) that raises awareness about Ukraine in the EU and around the world and provides humanitarian aid to Ukraine.
As such it calls for Partners to show interest and collaborate in order to fund purchase of such lamps and proper delivery of those to the most vulnerable regions of Ukraine via IMariupol Fund.

Purchase and logistics
All proceeds from the fundraising will be used for purchase and delivery of solar lamps to Ukraine.
Little Sun will be supplying our project with the lamps and solar panels if required at the price with over 60% discount. Little Sun with the help of Accredited logistic partners will ensure safe delivery of lamps to the facility centre of IMariupol Fund – non-profit organisation which takes care of almost 11 thousand displaced children who had to leave Mariupol due to Russian invasion.
