Free SIM Cards and bank accounts from POST
POST provides aid in the form of free mobile phone subscriptions, as well as a bank account
POST Luxembourg has put in place a series of solidarity actions in favour of refugees from Ukraine.
POST provides aid in the form of free mobile phone subscriptions, as well as a bank account and a payment card free of charge. Both actions are implemented in consultation with the Office national de l’accueil (ONA).
Refugees from Ukraine, with their certificate of temporary protection (issued by the Directorate of Immigration), can go to any POST Telecom point of sale and benefit from a mobile subscription. This solidarity offer includes unlimited calls from Luxembourg to Ukraine, a mobile data volume as well as calls and SMS in Luxembourg.
In order to offer refugees from Ukraine their banking access, POST Finance has set up a simplified and accelerated account opening procedure, which also includes a Vpay payment card and withdrawals at all ATMs, all free of charge. To take advantage of this offer, applicants must contact the ONA (5, rue Carlo Hemmer L-1734 Luxembourg-Kirchberg), which centralises applications and organises an appointment with a dedicated POST Finance advisor. All administrative documents related to this procedure have been translated into the languages appropriate for this target group.
